The first grouping of awards below are open to Fall Sports only:
Dynasty Team: During a decade of competition, a team that won multiple district and state championships.
Outstanding Run of Team Championships: A combination of league and district championships.
Best Championship Performance: Involved a district or state game, closely contested, rose above expectations, strong team play.
Best Moment: A turning point in a game or season.
Dock Female/ Male Athlete: Selection based on their performance and leadership as a Fall Dock student-athlete. Possessed qualities of hardworking, athletic achievement, big game performer, respect for the game and others, team player.
Greatest Athletic Achievement after Dock: Outstanding achievement at the college, Olympic or professional levels.
Life After Dock: The awards below are open to all sport programs. The nominee must be a former varsity athlete.
Arthur Ashe Courage Award: Presented to an individual whose contributions "transcend sports," possessing strength in the face of adversity, courage in the face of peril, and the willingness to stand up for their beliefs no matter what the cost.
Jimmy V Award for Perseverance: Presented to one who has overcome great obstacles through physical perseverance and determination. The award was named after and inspired by the late Jimmy Valvano, the North Carolina State basketball coach who was presented the award at the 1993 ESPYs. While battling cancer, Valvano gave an emotional acceptance speech which included his famous words "Don't Give Up...Don't Ever Give Up!"
Making a Difference Award: Presented to a team or individual who exemplify Dock's Athletic Department mission to develop enduring life values that go beyond athletic success and into one's own vocation or service work.
